Step 1: Select your major & transfer university
The first step is to decide on a major at Panola College based on your transfer university major. You will then research and select your transfer university.

Step 2: Maintain your GPA
Your GPA can play a large role in admission to the university you choose. Make sure you are aware of the required GPA your preferred university requires and maintain that GPA while at Panola College.
Step 3: Graduate from Panola College
By completing your core curriculum at Panola College with a "C" or better, the entire core will transfer to a Texas public university, which means you have fewer courses to take once you transfer. Be sure to visit with your advisor to make sure you are on the path to completing the necessary coursework.
Step 4: Apply to your transfer university
Review your transfer university's application and scholarship deadlines. Universities often have scholarships for transfer students, so be sure to ask.
Step 5: Request your transcript
After completing your final semester at Panola College, you will need to send your Panola College transcript to your transfer university. If you have a hold on your account, you will need to clear the hold before your transcript can be released.
Apply for a "Reverse Transfer"
If you did not complete your Associate's degree at Panola College, but you did complete at least 25 percent of a degree program, you may be able to transfer back university coursework to complete your remaining degree requirements. Send all official transcript(s) from other institutions you have attended to Panola College and apply for graduation. Our Student Services office will verify your eligibility to receive a degree from Panola College.
