Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) provide basic skilled nursing care for patients with predictable healthcare needs in a variety of clinical settings.
The Vocational Nursing (VN) Program is committed to the preparation of individuals who will assume the role of the vocational nurse and collaborate with the professional nurse and other health care professionals in the delivery of quality health care.
Our mission is to prepare competent, vocational nurses that are knowledgeable, safe, and demonstrate positive and caring behavior.
The VN program is a "closed" program and requires an additional application to be admitted into the program.
The VN program is taught face-to-face over three semesters and is offered at the Carthage (fall semester) and Center (spring semester) Panola College locations.
Clinicals are scheduled during days, evenings, nights, and/or weekends within a 70- mile radius of Carthage Campus or Center Campus.
