Panola College offers a variety of scholarships

Scholarships are awarded based on merit, financial need (as determined by completing the FAFSA), educational background, or academic major. Current and prospective students are encouraged to complete the Endowed Scholarship application, which is available between February 1st - March 31st annually. By completing this application, students are considered for several scholarships. Other scholarships may become available throughout the year, each with its own application instructions, requirements, and deadlines.

General & Endowed Annual Scholarship

Please note: The first time you apply you will need to create an account using your Panola College email address. If you do not have a Panola College email yet, you must apply to the College and receive one before creating an account. If you have just been admitted to the College, it could take up to 72 hours before you are able to create an account.

More than 160 endowed scholarships have been created through the generosity of alumni and friends of Panola College. They are awarded annually to students for various reasons based on merit, financial need (as determined by completing the FAFSA), educational background, or academic major.

Open Feb. 1 through March 31 annually, the endowed scholarship application is awarded for the following academic year. Many students compete for endowed scholarships each year. Current and prospective students are encouraged to complete the Endowed Scholarship application. By completing this application, students are considered for several scholarships.

Minimum requirements:

  • 2.0 grade point average (GPA)

  • Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours

  • Individual endowments may have additional requirements
  • The first time you apply you will need to create an account using your Panola College email address. If you do not have a Panola College email yet, you must apply to the College and receive one before creating an account. 

Reminders:

  • Dual credit and continuing education students are not eligible to receive endowed academic scholarships. 

  • We are only able to contact applicants who are awarded a scholarship.

  • Recipients will be contacted by the email provided in their application.

Completion Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements for Completion Scholarship

If awarded, these scholarship funds will be applied only after all other grants and scholarships you may have received.

To be eligible for emergency financial assistance, you must meet the following requirements:

1.) Students must show previous progress towards their degree or be enrolled in a 4-16 week program

2.) Be enrolled at least part-time per institution policy or in a state-funded CE program

3.) Current financial needs will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis

4.) GPA will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis

5.) Must be enrolled in one of the programs listed below:

Ray H. Marr Workforce Scholarships for Energy Programs

Eligibility Requirements for Ray H. Marr Workforce Scholarships for the Energy Program

To be eligible for financial assistance, you must meet the following requirements:

1.) Be enrolled at least part-time per institution policy

2.) Current financial needs will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis

3.) GPA must be a 2.0 or higher

4.) Must be enrolled in one of the following Energy programs listed below:

  • Electrical and instrumentation
  • Heating ventilation, and air conditioning
  • Maintenance technician
  • Natural gas compression
  • Petroleum technology
  • Residential/Commercial electrician 
  • Welding technology

Students will be asked to complete a thank you form upon receiving a scholarship. Scholarships will not be applied until the student has registered for courses within their program.

EMS Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements for EMSE Scholarship Application

TO BE ELIGIBLE, STUDENTS MUST AGREE TO MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS AFTER COMPLETING THE PROGRAM:

  • Must complete the entire program and pass the NREMT certification examination
  • Must provide one (1) year of service as an EMS provider in an ambulance at the EMT level or two (2) years as an AEMT or Paramedic within the State of Texas

MUST BE ENROLLING IN A PROGRAM BELOW:

  • Emergency Medical Technician
  • Paramedic

 

Workforce Scholarship

Scholarships are available for the following Workforce programs: 

  • Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
  • Dental Assisting
  • EKG Technician
  • Patient Care Technician
  • Pharmacy Technician
  • Phlebotomy
  • Truck Driving

Scholarship applications must be received two weeks prior to the start date.

 

Fine & Performing Arts Scholarships

Panola College offers scholarships for students interested in participating in drama, vocal, and instrumental.
