Scholarships are made possible through generous donors and friends of Panola College, the Panola College Foundation, and grant opportunities.
Panola College offers a variety of scholarships
Scholarships are awarded based on merit, financial need (as determined by completing the FAFSA), educational background, or academic major. Current and prospective students are encouraged to complete the Endowed Scholarship application, which is available between February 1st - March 31st annually. By completing this application, students are considered for several scholarships. Other scholarships may become available throughout the year, each with its own application instructions, requirements, and deadlines.
General & Endowed Scholarship
More than 150 endowed scholarships have been created through the generosity of alumni and friends of Panola College. They are awarded annually to students for various reasons based on merit, financial need (as determined by completing the FAFSA), educational background, or academic major.
Open Feb. 1 through March 31 annually, the endowed scholarship application is awarded for the following academic year. Many students compete for endowed scholarships each year. Current and prospective students are encouraged to complete the Endowed Scholarship application. By completing this application, students are considered for several scholarships.
2.0 grade point average (GPA)
- Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
- Individual endowments may have additional requirements
Dual credit and continuing education students are not eligible to receive endowed academic scholarships.
We are only able to contact applicants who are awarded a scholarship.
- Recipients will be contacted by the email provided in their application.
Spring 2022 Completion Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements for Completion Scholarship Assistance
To be eligible for emergency financial assistance, you must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at 50% or more towards earning your degree or certificate
- Must have suffered a financial impact due to the COVID-19 pandemic
- Enrolled in at least 3 hours in the fall flex term
- Must have filed the FAFSA for the current academic term
If awarded, these scholarship funds will be applied only after all other grants and scholarships you may have received have been applied.
Scholarships are available for the following Workforce programs:
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
- Dental Assisting
- EKG Technician
- Medication Aide
- Pharmacy Technician
- Truck Driving
Scholarship applications must be received two weeks prior to the start date.
The Reskilling Scholarship is available to provide last-dollar financial aid to Texas students who are within one year of completing a qualified post-secondary degree or certificate program but were forced to drop out of their program before the Spring 2021 semester because of hardships caused by the COVID19 pandemic.
To be eligible, students must meet the following requirements:
- Must have filed the FAFSA
- Must be a Texas resident
- must be Title IV eligible
- Must have been previously enrolled in College, but not enrolled last semester
- Must have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic
- Must be within 12 months of earning your credential
Must be enrolling in one of the programs below:
- Associate Degree Nursing
- Health Information Technology
- Vocational Nursing
- Medical Coding
- Medical Assisting
- Heating/Ventilation & Air Conditioning
- Basic Welding
- Intermediate Welding
- AS Welding Technology
- Certified Nurse Aide
If awarded, these scholarship funds will be applied only after all other grants and scholarships you may have received.
Fine & Performing Arts Scholarships
Panola College offers scholarships for students interested in participating in drama, vocal, and instrumental.
