The Scott and Ginger Griffin Memorial Scholarship was endowed in memory of Scott and Ginger Griffin by their parents, Bill & Dr. Mel LaGrone Griffin, and friends in 1998. Ginger was the batgirl and Scott was the batboy for the Panola Ponies baseball team. Their father was the head baseball coach at Panola for a number of years. The scholarship will be given annually to the Ponies baseball manager.
