Panola College students Greyson Arwine and Jordan Light, both members of the prestigious Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, have been selected to attend the 2025 All-Texas Academic Team Medallion Ceremony in San Antonio on April 25.

The All-Texas Academic Team Medallion Ceremony recognizes exceptional community college students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and service. Students named to the All-Texas Academic Team are either planning to transfer to four-year institutions or are preparing to enter the workforce. Arwine and Light were selected for their outstanding academic achievements and contributions to both campus and community.

Texas is one of 39 states that hosts an All-State Academic Team ceremony through Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges. As part of the program, a select number of top students are nominated to advance to the All-USA Academic Team. In addition, Phi Theta Kappa selects several students from the All-Texas Academic Team as recipients of the nationally recognized Coca-Cola Scholarship.

“We are incredibly proud of Greyson and Jordan for their accomplishments and well-deserved recognition,” said Jaynellen Wylie, Phi Theta Kappa advisor at Panola College. “They represent the very best of what Panola College and Phi Theta Kappa stand for – academic excellence, leadership, and service.”
