The energy company MPLX donated $5,000 to the Panola College School of Energy on Friday, August 25. The donation will go toward new equipment that will provide energy students with hands-on training to prepare them for a career in the energy sector.

“Industry partnerships are the backbone of the energy program at Panola College,” said Daniel Hall, School of Energy chair. “We are thankful for this new partnership with MPLX and their commitment to the future workforce.”

On campus to accept the donation were Hall and Dr. Billy Adams, vice president of instruction. Representatives from MPLX included Vincent James, Tracy Peace, and Nicholas Walker.
