Panola College Theatre to present ‘The Tin Woman’
Panola College Theatre will present The Tin Woman, a heartfelt drama exploring themes of loss, grief, family and second chances. Performances will take place November 13 at 7 p.m. and November 14 at 3 and 7 p.m. in the Q.M. Martin Auditorium.
Based on a true story, The Tin Woman follows Joy, a heart transplant recipient who struggles to embrace her second chance at life. Meanwhile, Alice and Hank mourn the loss of their son, Jack, whose donated heart saved Joy's life.
Encouraged by a friend, Joy seeks out Jack's family in hopes of finding closure, bringing together two families navigating grief and healing. Through humor and heartfelt moments, the production explores loss, family and the power of human connection.
“The Tin Woman is a powerful story that reminds us of the importance of compassion, connection and finding hope in the midst of grief,” said Kim Funderburk, Director of Theatre at Panola College. “Our students have worked hard to bring these characters and their emotions to life, and we hope audiences will leave with a renewed appreciation for the gift of life and the connections we share with others.”
Tickets are $15 and will be available for purchase at the door prior to each performance.
