Panola College recognized with Friend of 4-H Award

Panola College has been recognized with the Friend of 4-H Award for its extraordinary service and commitment to the Texas 4-H program. The award was presented on October 27 at the 2026 East Region District 5 4-H Gold Star and Award of Excellence Banquet in Nacogdoches, Texas.

The Friend of 4-H Award is presented annually to individuals, businesses, and organizations that demonstrate outstanding support, sponsorship, or service to 4-H programs. The recognition honors those who contribute to the success of 4-H initiatives and help create meaningful educational and leadership opportunities for young people.

Panola College was recognized for its continued support of youth development programs, including serving as the official venue for the District 5 4-H "Come Alive in D5" event held in May 2026. The event brought together 4-H participants from across the region, providing opportunities for youth to engage in educational activities, develop leadership skills and connect with fellow members.

Panola College is honored to receive this recognition and remains committed to supporting Texas 4-H and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service through partnerships that promote youth development, educational opportunities and community engagement throughout East Texas.
