Denetra McDaniel appointed Director of Workforce and Continuing Education
Panola College is pleased to announce the appointment of Denetra McDaniel as Director of Workforce and Continuing Education. A proud Panola College alumna, McDaniel brings more than 22 years of experience in education, instructional leadership, and program development to the role.
Most recently, McDaniel served as Pathway and Credit for Prior Learning Design Coordinator at Panola College, where she led the development of continuing education-to-credit pathways, credit for prior learning frameworks, and workforce initiatives designed to align training opportunities with regional industry needs.
In her previous roles, McDaniel served as principal and assistant principal at Dunbar Primary School in Lufkin ISD, where she championed student achievement, strengthened community partnerships, and implemented innovative programs focused on college and career readiness. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a commitment to expanding educational opportunities, building collaborative partnerships, and creating pathways that support student success and workforce development.
As Director of Workforce and Continuing Education, McDaniel will provide leadership for workforce training and continuing education programs, foster partnerships with business and industry leaders, pursue grant opportunities, and develop innovative pathways that connect learners to in-demand careers and support regional workforce needs.
McDaniel holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Stephen F. Austin State University. She also earned an Associate of Arts in Teaching from Panola College, making her a proud alumna of the institution she now serves.
