Christmas in Carthage returns December 2 to celebrate over 30 years of holiday tradition
For more than three decades, Christmas in Carthage has ushered in the holiday season with music, community, and festive celebration. This cherished tradition continues in 2025 as Christmas in Carthage returns on Tuesday, December 2, at 7 p.m. at the Carthage Civic Center.
Christmas in Carthage highlights the exceptional musical talent at Panola College, featuring performances by the concert and jazz bands, chorale, Panola Pipers, and Professor Lydia Lim and her piano students. This year's program also includes guest performers “The Strummers” and a very special surprise visitor.
Dwaine Hubbard, Director of Bands at Panola College, welcomes everyone to enjoy this annual celebration. “Our music students and faculty are honored to have the opportunity to perform for our community,” he said. “The songs and decorations provide a beautiful feeling of peace and joy here in Carthage.”
This year’s event is proudly supported by community sponsors including Pippen Motors, The Carthage Music Club, the Panola College Foundation, Central Baptist Church, First Methodist Church, Tate Barber - State Farm Insurance, Carthage Main Street, Bauer Furniture, Kay and Dwaine Hubbard, and First State Bank and Trust.
Admission to the event is $10 for adults, $5 for students, and free for children under the age of 12, with tickets available to purchase at the door. For additional information, contact Dwaine Hubbard at dhubbard@panola.edu or 903-693-2027.
