College to hold faculty instrumental recital on February 22

Lydia Lim and Dwaine Hubbard

Panola College will host a faculty instrumental recital on February 22 at 7 p.m. in the Q.M. Martin Auditorium, featuring faculty members Lydia Lim on piano and Dwaine Hubbard on trombone.

“I am thrilled and honored to perform for the College and the community alongside my esteemed current and former colleagues,” said Lim. “On the stage, you will witness four pianists and one trombonist coming together for a fantastic collaboration showcasing a diverse range of musical styles.”

Lim and Hubbard will both perform solo selections, with the remaining pieces being piano duets featuring Lim and three special guest artists, David Berryhill, Mary Heiden, and Jonathan Kaan.

“I feel extremely honored to be invited to play with these wonderful musicians,” said Hubbard. “I think this performance will bring something that is needed to the community, so I hope everyone will come out and enjoy this cultural event with us.”

The performance is free and open to the public to attend.
