Panola College will present two instrumental and vocal performances during October. The choir will present its fall concert on Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. in the Q.M. Martin Auditorium, and the band will present its fall concert on Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. in the Frances B. Ross Ballroom of the Charles C. Matthews Foundation Student Center.

The choir will perform works by Pfautsch, Esmail, and Hagenberg, while the Panola Pipers will sing jazz and pop pieces.

The concert band will perform a variety of music from a traditional march, “The Trombone King” by Karl King, to the traditional British hymn, “I Vow to Thee My Country.” The band will also perform an arrangement of “It is Well With My Soul.”

The jazz band will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the College by presenting “Through the Decades,” music from the 40’s through today.

Both performances are free and open to the public to attend.
