For those of you who do not know me, I was born in Temple, Texas. After graduating from Troy High School, I received my Associate degree from Temple Jr. College. My Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees were earned at Baylor University. I moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma in early 1973. For seven years I was a faculty member at Oklahoma Baptist University. While in Oklahoma, I also managed a credit union and served as a commercial banker for almost seven years. The majority of my banking experience was as a commercial loan officer where I was responsible for over $20,000,000 in loans. I have been at Panola College since 1988. My classes include Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Principles of Macroeconomics, Principles of Microeconomics, and Personal Finance. My classes are taught in the traditional classroom, over interactive television and via the Internet. I currently serve as Immediate Past President of the Texas Community College Teachers Association, the largest organization of postsecondary educators in Texas.
