KIDS' COLLEGE 2015 is a summer enrichment program for children in kindergarten through fourth grade. Kids' College is a production of the Office of Workforce and Continuing Education. This year, participants get to take part in all four blocks of learning: Animal Science, Technology, Forensic Science and Art. In addition, they will participate in music and fitness.
Registration: May 5 - May 22, 2015
Tuition: $120/Child ($100 for each additional sibling)
There will be no refunds after May 22, 2015.
Completed registration packets are to be turned in to the SRTC in Center, TX or faxed to the Workforce & Continuing Education Department in Carthage, TX (903-693-1196).
Classes meet Monday through Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. - 3:25 p.m. Classes are located on the Panola College Shelby Regional Training Center (SRTC) in Center, TX.
FIRST DAY PROCEDURES: Students should be dropped off at the front doors of the SRTC. Upon arrival, students will be directed to their assigned class groups. Instructors will escort students to the classroom areas. Please make sure your child is on time. Late students must be escorted to their class area by a staff member. Students are requested to arrive 15 minutes early (7:45 a.m.) on the first day, but will not be admitted before 7:45 a.m. on any day.
DROP-OFF & PICK-UP PROCEDURES - SAFETY COMES FIRST: The drop-off and pick-up area for KIDS' COLLEGE is at the front doors of the SRTC. Parents are NOT to drop-off their child/children earlier than 7:45 a.m. each day. All classes officially end at 3:25 p.m. For safety, parents will be required to sign their child/children in when dropping off and out when picking up. Only individuals listed on the registration form will be able to pick up your child/children. You must pick up your child no later than 3:35 p.m.
WEATHER: Instruction will take place indoors on rainy days.
ILLNESS: Children who are exhibiting symptoms of contagious illness will be excluded from attendance at Kids' College. If a child has fever, vomiting, a skin rash, or other signs of illness, parents will be called to pick up the child.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: All KIDS' COLLEGE participants are expected to show respect for staff, peers, and property. Students may be removed from a class for disruptive behavior, may be sent home, or may be removed from the program for repeated disruptive behavior. No bullying or violence will be tolerated. No refunds will be given in these situations. We want a fun, safe, and enriching environment for all our students!
LUNCH: The tuition for each student includes one meal for each day. Your child may bring their own lunch if they prefer; however, the tuition will not be reduced.
