FILLIES PICK UP CONFERENCE WIN OVER SAN JACINTO

The Panola Fillies picked up a win in their final conference game before the Christmas holidays when they downed the Lady Gators of San Jacinto College 83-73 Wednesday night in Pasadena. The Fillies were paced in scoring by five Fillies that broke double digits en route to the 10 point win. Sophomores Vedrana Milakovic and Kim Edmonson led the way with 16 apiece. Fellow sophomores Jasmine Brown notched 13, while Casie Adams and Melissa White dropped in 12 and 11 respectively. "Jasmine and Melissa really got us going a little in the first half, knocking down a couple of shots," commented coach Tracey Stellato, "and then in the second half Kim really stepped up and hit a couple of big shots for us." The win runs the Fillies overall record to 8-4, with one game to play before the Christmas holidays.  The Fillies return home Saturday afternoon for a non-conference match-up against the defending NJCAA national champion Lady Wranglers of Odessa College. Tip-off for Saturday's contest is 2:00pm. Come out and support the Fillies.
