POOR SHOOTING HAMPERS FILLIES

Two poor shooting performances over the
weekend dropped the Fillies to 2-2 on the season. McLennan Community
College used a hot shooting performance on Friday night, coupled
with a poor shooting game for the Fillies to drop the Panola ladies
to 2-1 on the season by a score of 74-92. "I thought we played hard
both games this weekend, the basket just seemed to have a lid on it
for us this weekend," commented head coach Tracey Stellato. The
Fillies once again struggled shooting the ball Saturday afternoon,
losing 56-66 to the Lady Texans of South Plains College. "We were
getting great looks at the basket all weekend, but once again we
just really struggled shooting the ball today," added Stellato. The
Fillies return to action on Tuesday night when they travel to
Tishomingo, OK to take on Murray State College. The Fillies then
return home for a two game stand as a part of the Panola Fillies
Classic. The Fillies will take on Shelton State College, out of
Alabama, on Friday night with an 8:00pm tip-off. Angelina College
will face the Lady Jaguars of Southern University-Shreveport at
6:00pm. Saturday's schedule tips off with the Lady Roadrunners of
Angelina College taking on Shelton State College at 2:00pm and the
Fillies facing off against the Lady Jaguars at 4:00pm. Come out and
see some great basketball action next weekend and support your
Panola Fillies.
