Panola College Announces Summer Video Game Development Camp

 

Dr. Bob Wilkins, Professor of Computer Science at Panola College, announced plans for a Video Game Development Camp for Kids to be held June 16-20.  The 2008 Game Development Camp is a summer enrichment program for students ages 12-17. It is offered through the Continuing Education Department at Panola College.  The camp is sponsored and presented by the Panola College Video Game Club.

 

According Lynn Kincheloe, Video Game Club president, “Students will learn to design and create two dimensional video games.  In addition to creating games of their own, campers will learn to modify games on an Xbox 360.”  The camp will also utilize a new Video Game Development Lab that includes Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii game consoles along with a 37 inch flat screen monitor.
