Williams Takes Over as VP of Fiscal Services

Panola College is proud to announce the selection of its newest administrator, Mr. Steve Williams, Vice President of Fiscal Services.

As the College’s newest administrator, Williams is responsible for one of the busiest departments on campus. His duties are many and vary from advising the College President on matters of College finance and business management to preparation of the annual operating budget and making recommendations on improvements to the physical plant.

Williams is a Carthage native and graduated from Carthage Independent School District in 1978. He continued his education at Panola College where he graduated in the fall of 1981 with an Associate of Science degree. That same year Williams enrolled at Texas A&M, and in 1984 was awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. In 1992 Williams returned to Carthage and began working as a Certified Public Accountant.

When asked to comment Williams responded, “I took my very first accounting class at Panola College. Mrs. Geneva Gullette was my instructor and the class was held in the room across the hall from my office. It is good to be back at Panola College…it seems like I have come full circle.”

Williams is active in the community. He is a past president and current member of the Carthage Lions Club. He is also a past president and member of the Carthage Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves as a volunteer with the Carthage Fire Department.

Williams is married to Rhonda Williams. Together they have three daughters, Cathy Farmer, Jessica Pace and Chelsea Pittman. They are also the proud grandparents of Bryce Farmer.
