The Panola College Rodeo Team finished the fall semester Rodeo Circuit in first place of the Southern Region.  The Ponies went into this past weekend, at Stephen F. Austin State University, sitting in second place of the Region.  They took second place in the Men’s Team division and jumped into first place in the overall standings in the Southern Region. 

This past week end at Stephen F. Austin, the Panola Men’s team finished second.  Tilden Hooper once again took the title in the bareback competition, and Lucas Butler was second in the saddle bronc.  Ryan Thibodeaux to a 2^nd place finish in the calf roping and Friday Wright to a 3^rd place finish in the bullriding.

In the overall standings for the Southern Region the Panola Men’s Team is sitting in 1^st place.  Individually, Tilden Hooper is 1^st – bareback, Lucas Butler 1^st – saddle bronc, Ryan Thibodeaux 1^st – calf roping.  Also, Levi Garrett is 4^th in the saddle bronc, Friday Wright 3^rd –bullriding, Will Foster 6^th – saddle bronc, and Reese Cates 6^th – bullriding.

The second half of the NIRA Southern Region Rodeo Circuit will kickoff February 29 in Kingsville, TX hosted Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
