Spring 2007 Panola College Health Fair

On April 3rd the Panola College Associate Degree Nursing class of 2007 will conduct the semiannual Health Fair. The event will be held at the main campus in Carthage, Texas from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm in the Panola College Fitness Center Gymnasium.

Local businesses and representatives from across East Texas will present the latest information and technology to enhance health and fitness. Visitors will be able to take advantage of blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol and HIV testing. Some of these services may require a small fee.

Car seat inspections will be available from the Panola College EMT department. There will be an ambulance available for viewing courtesy of the East Texas Medical Center of Carthage.  Stewart Regional Blood Center will have two donor buses for blood donation in the adjacent parking lot.

There will be many different booths for your enjoyment and learning pleasure that include massage, healing touch, and booths provided by the Occupational Therapy, LVN, Cosmetology Departments. There will also be many other booths provided by students and members of the community.

Refreshments will be served and drawings for great door prizes will be held frequently throughout the day. Door prizes such as  a pound of fudge from the Fudge & More Store, an oil change courtesy of Auto Express Lube, Chick-Fil-A sandwiches and a one-night stay in a “Jacuzzi Suite” made possible by the Holiday Inn of Carthage. Other door prizes include meals from The Jalapeno Tree, La Fiesta Mexican Restaurant, Daddy Sam’s and many more.
