COLLEGE TO HOST HEALTH AND TECHNOLOGY FAIR

 

The 2007 Panola College Associate Degree Nursing class will hold the semi-annual Health and Technology Fair, ‘Fall Into Health’, for Carthage and the surrounding communities on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Arthur M. Johnson Gymnasium on the main campus in Carthage. 

 

Local businesses and representatives from the East Texas area will present the latest information and technology for health and fitness.  Free blood glucose and blood pressure checks, chair massages, a well child clinic, car seat checks, vision screenings, eyeglass adjustments, and other exhibits will be presented.  Panola College students enrolled in the ADN, LVN, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Technology programs will present information and services of interest to all ages in the community.

 

In addition, from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m., East Texas Medical Center, Carthage, will be offering discounted lab work for basic metabolic profile, comprehensive metabolic profile, cardiac evaluation-lipid (fasting required), TSH, thyroid profile (T3 and T4), prostate PSA, diabetes A1C, CBC, CEA, CA-125 and urinalysis.  A blood drive will also be conducted in the Ballroom by the Carter Blood Care Stewart Center.
