TYSON SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED

 

On Wednesday, five Panola College students received scholarships from the Tyson Foundation for the 2006-07 school year. “Each scholarship is valued at approximately $800 and will be applied toward the cost of tuition, fees and books,” said Tommy Young, Director of Financial Aid.  “Tyson is a good corporate neighbor, and we appreciate the support the Tyson Foundation has provided to our students through these scholarships.”

 

This year’s scholarship recipients are: Brant Watson, an A.D.N. student from Kilgore, TX, Melissa Miller, an LVN student from Carthage, TX, Simeon Ngishu, an A.D.N. student from Carthage, TX, Ryan Arwine, an A.D.N. student from Tenaha, TX, and Shanna Hall from Gary, TX who is training to be an LVN at Panola College-Center.

 

Ms. Vicky Amy, Assistant Complex Human Resources Manager for Tyson’s Carthage facility, met with the students and congratulated them for being selected as Tyson Scholarship recipients.
