LUNCHBOX LECTURE TO FEATURE MR. BILL O’NEAL
The M.P. Baker Library, in cooperation with Mr. Bill O’Neal, will present a lunchbox lecture on October 3, 2006. Retired Panola College professor, Mr. Bill O’Neal will discuss his latest book, “War in East Texas: Regulators vs. Moderators.” It is a tale of an East Texas Feud that is sure to fascinate readers and historians alike.
O'Neal is a native Texan whose grandmother came to Texas in a covered wagon in 1881, and whose great-grandfather drove cattle up the Chisholm Trail in the 1870s. He is a member of the Western Writers of America and has appeared in TV documentaries on TNN, The History Channel, the BBC, the Discovery Channel, TBS and A & E. O’Neal enjoys sharing his favorite subjects with various audiences, speaking frequently to historical groups.
