Panola College offers classes for personal enrichment

If you want to take a class but don’t want it for credit, Panola College has several opportunities for you.  Through dual enrollment a person can enroll in a course for continuing education credit with students who are taking the course for academic credit.  Beginning Sign Language is scheduled for 6:00 on Monday evenings. Other possibilities include Drawing, Ceramics and Applied Music courses, including Guitar.  An Educational Technology course is offered online and is a wonderful opportunity for teachers to learn the latest in classroom technology.  Photography is also offered online this fall.

Fitness becomes more and more important to those working at a fast pace.  Panola College has many physical education courses to choose from, including Golf on Tuesday and Thursday at 10:50 a.m.  Tai Chi, a continuing education course, will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings 7:00-8:00 for four weeks, beginning in September.  Other choices include Yoga/Pilates, Aerobics, Racquetball, and Walking.

The Workforce and Continuing Education department is planning another cultural tour this fall as well.   Many exciting experiences are available at Panola College.
