Campus Dining To Help Stop Hunger With Cans Across America

Carthage, Texas—Campus Dining Services is inviting students and the community to help stop hunger and lend a helping hand to those in need right in our own community by taking part in a special Cans Across America promotion on October 18, 2006 all day in the Panola College Cafeteria.

Cans Across America features a wonderful opportunity for students,

faculty, staff, and community members to take part in a rewarding experience by donating canned food to help those in need.  Highlighting the event will be an exciting attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the most canned food donations raised during a single event in multiple locations across the United States.  The best part is that all of the food collected during this promotion on campus will help those in need right in our own community.

According to Cyndi Rutherford General Manager, “Cans Across America is a great way for students to give back to the community, something most students truly want to do.  It will allow them to have some fun, while helping a lot of deserving people.  It’s also really exciting to have the chance to set a new Guinness World Record in the process.  This event can prove to be our most rewarding promotion of the year.”

Cans Across America will take place on October 18, 2006 all day in the Panola College Cafeteria. Anyone who donates six cans or more will receive a free meal coupon.  If you do not feel like lugging cans around, purchase any regular priced meal and we will donate a large number ten can for you.
