PANOLA COLLEGE HONORS VETERANS
11/11/05
On November 11, 2005, Panola College held a Flag Ceremony to commemorate Veteran’s Day. Faculty members, who are also former and current members of the U.S military, led a flag lowering ceremony in honor of those who served our country as members of the armed forces.
The event was well attended by Panola College employees and students who met at the flag poles in front of the College to witness and participate in the ceremony. After the flags had been lowered to half mast and secured, those in attendance were given the opportunity to offer the names of veterans who had served, were currently serving, or those who had paid the ultimate price in defense of the country.
