COLLEGE WELCOMES NEW DEAN 

Panola College is proud to announce the selection of its newest administrator, Mr. G. Erik Zoellner, Dean of Student Services. 

Zoellner was selected from a pool of over fifty applicants. He will be responsible for managing admissions and records, students activities, residence halls, guidance and counseling, testing services, veterans affairs, health services, the Career Information Center, recruiting and the students with disabilities program. 

“Mr. Zoellner and his family are a welcome addition to Panola College and to Panola County,” said Dr. Gregory Powell, President of Panola College. “I predict that the energy, enthusiasm and knowledge that he brings will quickly have a positive impact on our students.  We are very pleased to have him join the administrative team.” 

Zoellner earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in History with a minor in Speech and Psychology and a Master of Science degree in College Teaching with a student services personnel emphasis from Northeastern State University. He is currently a doctoral candidate at Oklahoma State University.

When asked to comment on being chosen, Zoellner responded, “I am very fortunate and blessed to be selected as Panola College’s Dean of Student Services. I look forward to serving the students and the community.” Zoellner is married to Shamron Zoellner and they have five children: Kayleigh, Jacob, John, Noah and Christian.
