This fall Panola College Government Professor, Dr. Charles Taylor,
will be taking an American Government class to Washington, D. C. The course will be open
to students seeking college credit and members of the public who are interested in
learning more about our nations capitol.
The group will depart from Houston Intercontinental Airport on August
6 and return on August 10. The group is tentatively planning to visit the Smithsonian
Institute, Supreme Court, Capitol and Congressional buildings, the Lincoln Memorial,
George Washingtons home, the Washington Monument, Ford Theatre, the National

in the Courthouse District of Arlington, Virginia, less than two miles from downtown
Washington, DC. Washington Insiders, a proven and successful touring
organization, will lead the group through the greater DC area.

will be approximately $1200. The price will vary depending upon occupancy choices. Those
not seeking college credit may register for the trip only.
This is going to be a great adventure in a city teeming with history and knowledge, said Dr. Taylor.
