BENNETT SIGNS NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT
Jerminey Bennett of Panola College has signed a National Letter of
Intent to play Basketball at Mississippi Valley State University.
Bennett, who was the 2004 NJCAA National Scoring Champion, averaged
27.2 points per game at Panola College this season. He has scored 1,182 points in his
career at Panola College and recorded the first triple double in school history in
2004.
As a freshman, Bennett helped lead the Panola College Ponies to a
2003 Conference Championship and the Regional Finals. He played in a total of 63 games
while at Panola College. The 510 guard was also on the 2004 NJCAA All-Region XIV
Team.
A native of Baton Rouge, LA, Bennett prepped at Glen Oaks High School, where he averaged 23.4 points per game. He was named first team All-State and All-Metro as a senior.
