PANOLA COLLEGE INSTRUCTOR EXHIBITS ARTWORK

Jack Bartlett 

Panola College adjunct Art Instructor Jack Bartlett currently has an exhibition of his artwork at the Texas Artist Museum in Port Arthur. Bartlett is exhibiting eighteen oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings. Many of the paintings consist of landscapes of East Texas and the Gulf Coast. 

Bartlett has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Stephen F. Austin and a Master of Fine Arts from Southern Methodist University. He retired from Mississippi State University in 2001 as a Professor Emeritus. He also studied Life Drawing at the Instituto Allende in Mexico, and was an artist-in- residence at the Hambidge Center for Arts and Sciences in Georgia. His artwork is handled by art galleries in Houston, New Orleans and North Carolina, and is part of numerous private and corporate collections.
