PANOLA COLLEGE TO OFFER SERVSAFE COURSE 

On February 26, Panola College will offer the SERVSAFE – Sanitation and Safety Certification Course at the Shelby Regional Training Center.  

Managers and employees in the Food Service Industry are encouraged to take this two-day intensive training to earn their Texas Department of Health Certification. The course covers the fundamentals of sanitation practices, laws, methods and techniques of food handling for protection, safety and accident protection. The student will evaluate the role of the food service manager in sanitation, recognize the fundamental relationship of micro-organisms to food-born illnesses, detect specific signs of spoilage, poor sanitation, or hazards in food supplies. CEU’s will be awarded for this class.
