PANOLA COLLEGE AND SBDC TO OFFER OSHA WORKSHOP

Panola College and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will host a 1-Day, 10-hour workshop entitled "OSHA-The Complete Compliance Workshop” Thursday, April l7 from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Shelby Regional Training Center (SRTC) located at 678 Roughrider Dr., in Center, Texas.

This workshop is designed for all safety-minded professionals who want to learn and implement new and proposed OSHA standards to secure their company's ongoing compliance.

Participants will be taught which safety violations were most frequently cited by OSHA in the last few years. They will also learn how to avoid costly OSHA citations; respond when OSHA inspects your facility; reduce employee complaints to OSHA; promote positive employee attitudes concerning workplace safety; create a safe working environment; develop the ability to interpret OSHA regulations; and gain real-world solutions to voluntary compliance issues.

“Companies attending this course will receive their 10-hour OSHA card in General Industry,” said Brad Bunt, SBDC director. “What makes this class unique is that you will be recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor as having been trained by an OSHA authorized trainer.  OSHA will issue your certificate thereby confirming your voluntary efforts to comply with the General Industry (CFR 1910) Code of Federal Regulations.   This is ideal to carry at all times inside and outside your company.  And the cost of this program has been priced lower than many of the larger cities that offer similar training.”

The fee for this workshop is $295.00.   Fee includes breakfast, 10-Hour OSHA Card, General Industry (CFR 1910) Code of Federal Regulations Book, 450-Pg. OSHA Compliance Workshop Manual, OSHA News Releases, Directives and Interpretations, Required Training Information, New Technology, and all seminar materials.

Seating is limited, so prospective students should call the Panola College Work Force and Development Office at 903-693-4650, or the Shelby Regional Training Center at 936-591-9075 to reserve a place.
