PANOLA COLLEGE TO HOST HEALTH FAIR

 

On October 15, 2003, the Panola College Associate Degree Nursing program will host its   annual Health Fair from 7:30 a.m. to noon in the Ballroom.  

ADN students will be checking visitor’s blood pressure, weight, and glucose free of charge. Numerous vendors from around the area will also be in attendance, providing information about numerous medical topics.  

Vendors tentatively scheduled to be in attendance include: The East Texas Blood Center, Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital, Texas Department of Health, Grogan Dental Group, Golden Eye Associates, Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, The Training Room (Massage Therapy), Carthage Police Department, Hill Chiropractic Clinic, NU Choice International (Weight Loss Information), Ruth’s Health Food (Information about Health Foods), Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), and representatives from the East Texas Medical Center Lab. 

Representatives from the East Texas Medical Center will be drawing blood at the Health Fair from 7:30-9:00 a.m. The blood will be analyzed and screened for indicators of heart disease, cancer, etc.  There will be a nominal fee charged for each test.
