PANOLA COLLEGE TO COMMEMORATE J.F.K. PRESIDENCY 

 

Panola College is joining The History Channel initiative to commemorate our nation’s thirty-fifth President, John F. Kennedy. 

On Nov. 12, Dr. Charles Taylor, Professor of History and Government will initiate two weeks of remembrance with a presentation about John F. Kennedy at 2:00 p.m. in the College Ballroom. Following his talk, faculty, staff, students and members of the public are invited to tour an exhibit presented by the Panola College Library. The exhibit will run from November 12-25 and will focus on the Kennedy presidency.  

“We wish to encourage everyone to join us for this event,” said Zeny Jett, Director of Library Services. “In addition to the display and Dr. Taylor’s presentation we will be showing videos about President Kennedy on November 13 and 14 at 1:00 p.m.” 

The centerpiece of the month long event will be The History Channel’s 3-hour documentary-JFK A Presidency Revealed. It will air on November 16, 2003 at 8 PM/7 Central.
