New officers for the Panola College chapter of Circle K International (CKI)  were recently installed during a ceremony at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Gregory Powell.

The installation took place at the annual “High Tea” sponsored by the Powells for members of the Panola College Green Jackets and this year’s CKI officers.

Outgoing officers honored were Marc Wilson, Carthage, president; Jennifer Smith, Waskom, vice president; Lauren Tillery, Carthage, secretary; and Jennifer Tipton, Carthage, treasurer.

New officers for the organization are Lauren Tillery, president; Holly Marshall, Carthage, vice president; and, Nichole Burns, Gary, secretary. The office of treasurer will be filled in the fall.

Mr. Jeremy Dorman, Panola College admissions/records coordinator, also officially took over as the new CKI adviser from the current adviser Brenda Allums, who will be retiring from the College this year.

"I would like to thank Mrs. Allums for giving me the opportunity to serve in this position,” said Dorman. “She has guided a strong club and I hope to continue what she has started.  The sophomores returning are great leaders and will do an excellent job."
