PANOLA COLLEGE AWARDED CERTIFICATE OF
EXCELLENCE
Panola College is proud to announce that the Government Finance Officers Association of
the United States and Canada has awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in
Financial Reporting to Louis Johnagin, Dean of Fiscal Affairs and the Panola College
Business Office for its comprehensive annual financial report.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of
governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a
significant accomplishment.
This
is the ninth consecutive year that the College has received this award, said Louis
Johnagin. We have only been able to accomplish this
through a joint effort of our entire staff and support of our external auditors Robinson
& Williams Certified Public Accountants.
The CAFR has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the
program including demonstrating a constructive spirit of full disclosure to
clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to
read the CAFR.
The GFOA is a non profit professional association serving approximately 14,000 government finance professionals with offices in Chicago, Illinois, and Washington D.C.
