PANOLA
COLLEGE THEATRE TO PERFORM
DIVINE SEPARATION
The Panola College Division of Fine Arts proudly announces the world
premier performance of Divine Separation, by
East Texas playwright Barre Gonzalez. Directed
by Liz Hedges, the Panola Theatre production is scheduled for February 14 and 15, 7:30
p.m., and February 19, 1:30 p.m, in the Studio Theatre.
Admission will be $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. Panola College Students are admitted free with a
student ID.
Divine Separation is
the heart-touching story of a minister and his wife who each feel a special calling from
God for humanitarian service during the Civil War. His
commitment is to his flock in Camden, Tennessee, while she feels compelled to go work as a
nurse in the field hospitals near Chattanooga.
The show cast includes Michael Davis and Will Levell freshmen
from Hallsville High School, David Green, a sophomore from Marshall, sophomore Matt Oats
from Grossbeck, freshmen Josh Bush and Erin Welch from Waskom, freshman Sarah Williams
from Nacogdoches, Hope Allen, a Yantis freshman, Mar-c Purdy, sophomore from Copperas
Cove, sophomore Tasha Willard from Joaquin, Corsicana sophomore Jamey Pritchett, Tammy
Duke, a Henderson sophomore, and Sulphur Springs sophomore Adam Haney.
Production assistants for the show are Jamey Pritchett and Hope
Allen. Set Design is by Jamey Pritchett and
Matt Oats. Tammy Duke is the costume
designer. Make-up design is by Sarah Williams
while sound production is done by Josh Bush. David
Green and Greg Williams are in charge of special effects.
Tasha Willard is the props mistress. Battle
and fight scenes choreographer is Matt Oates.
Divine Separation is
the Panola College entry in the Texas Community College Speech and Theatre Play Festival. Theatre Department Director, Liz Hedges reports
that Panola College has been awarded a superior rating five times in last seven years at
this festival.
