When can I apply for an Endowed Scholarship?

 

Applications for endowed scholarships will be available after the second week in February.

 

 

Where can I get an application?

 

Applications will be available in the Office of Institutional Advancement, located in the Martha Miller Administration Building. Copies of the application and guidelines can also be downloaded by clicking on the links below:

When is the application due?

 

Applications must be completed and returned no later than noon of the last Friday in March.

 

 

Can I use the funds to pay for summer or mini-semester expenses?

 

No. These awards may only be applied to fall and spring semester expenses.

 

 

Do I need to complete the FAFSA to be eligible for an endowed scholarship?

 

Yes. To be eligible for an endowed scholarship, applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Information about the FAFSA is available on the Financial Aid website.

 

 

How are recipients selected?

 

All scholarship applications will be reviewed by a Scholarship Committee comprised of members of the Panola College faculty and staff. Applicants will be judged on scholarly achievement, letters of recommendation, financial need, and any specific requirements established by the donor.

 

 

Is there a list of endowed scholarships available for me to review?

 

Yes. First go to Panola College’s Online Catalog. Then click on “Expenses/Financial” and scroll down to the heading “Scholarships.” Below that heading is a list of endowed scholarships available at Panola College.
