TYSON SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED  

Recently, five Panola College students received scholarships from the Tyson Foundation for the 2001-02 school year. Tommy Young, Director of  Financial Aid said, “each scholarship is worth $800 and  will be applied towards the cost of tuition, fees and books.” 

This years scholarship recipients are: Laura Lopez from Jefferson TX - Associate Degree Nursing; Johnathan W. Colbey from Tenaha TX -Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Information Systems; Tarshay Ingram from DeBerry TX - Associate of Applied Science degree in Office Systems Technology; LaWanda Woolridge from Marshall, TX - Associate Degree Nursing; and Dusty Allen of Carthage TX - Associate of Applied Science degree in Office Systems Technology. 

Jodie Richter, Human Resources Manger for Tyson’s Carthage Complex commented, “Tyson has a long tradition of working with Panola College and we are happy that we are able to give back to the community. Everyone at Tyson wishes these students the best of luck.”
