Newly elected officers are Bryan Zulko from Carthage, president; Brooke Nelson from Elysian Fields, vice president; Lynn Puryear of Carthage, secretary; Brad Latham of Tenaha, treasurer; and Brian Bird of Gladewater, Student Government Association representative.

Retiring officers include Jamie Conway of Tenaha, president; Leah Cartwright of Wells, vice president; Amy Reeves of Carlisle, secretary; and Bryan Zulko of Carthage, treasurer.

Jamie Conway was named "Member of the Year", an award voted on by the chapter’s membership. The Advisor’s Award went to Amy Reeves for her outstanding work.

Certificates of Recognition were awarded to James Bogs, Amy Brown, Brad Latham, Charmane Willie, Jenyfer Tillman, Jessica Smith, and Brooke Nelson.

Distinguished Service Awards went to Jaime Conway, Amy Reeves, Erin Hetherington, Jon Madl, Brian Bird, Sumer Howard, Katherine Titterington, Cyndi Reed, Lynn Puryear and Bryan Zulko.

Additional Panola College CKI chapter accomplishments for the 2000-2001 year include:

• Jaime Conway and Sumer Howard each received a $1,000 scholarships from the Texas Oklahoma Kiwanis Foundation.
• Jaime Conway was named Outstanding President and Amy Reeves, runner-up for Outstanding Secretary
• The chapter’s work as mentors for second and third graders was awarded Outstanding Single Service Project with the member’s Kiwanis Family Project and Adopt-A-Kiwanian, receiving honorable mention.
• The Panola College CKI chapter’s scrapbook was named Outstanding Scrapbook
• This summer, Jaime Conway and Lynn Puryear will be attending the CKI International Convention in Buffalo, NY.
