Panola College's Physical Education Department provides 1-hour transferable physical activity classes that promote lifetime fitness skills. Three-hour academic classes are offered for students pursuing a degree in physical education and coaching and include first aid and safety, sports officiating and introduction to physical education. Some PE courses are online.
Being physically active means strengthening one's cognitive processes and sharpening
one's skills as a result of activity . Activity is also is a great way to keep the
body in shape and help it fend off illness while keeping a healthy weight.
