Shay Reed sizes up a shot

The Fillies pulled away from San Jacinto in overtime Wednesday night for a 79-66 win.

Panola came on strong in overtime outscoring San Jac 12-1, hitting 12 of 14 free throws to secure the win. Shay Reed led the Fillies with 22 points and made 15 out of 16 free throws. Alicia Mitchham had 17 points, 13 rebounds, four blocks, and three steals. Ariel Billington chalked up 11 points and seven rebounds, while Candace Virgadamo and Tatsiana Zhurauliova each put up 10 points.

Panola lost a dominating 16 point lead in the second half due to a 13 point rally by San Jacinto. The Fillies looked to win with a 65-62 lead but San Jac tied up the game by hitting three free throws with four seconds left.

The Fillies will face TJC in Tyler at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13.
