Enlarge The public is invited to the presentation about preventing heart disease. Heart disease prevention will be the topic at a free lecture at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 21. Panola College will host the East Texas Section of the American Chemical Society monthly meeting and lecture in the Panola College Community Room. Guest speaker, Tammy Dugas, will present a talk called "Red Wine, Resveratrol, and Drug-eluting Stents." "It is a technical talk, but presented for the general public and perfect for the heart disease awareness this month," said Amy Calhoun, Panola College chemistry instructor. There is no cost and refreshments will be served. Reservations are not required. |
