Bill O'Neal will present a lecture on Pearl Harbor at noon, Thursday, Dec. 1.

 

The lecture commemorates the 70th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. This will be the last Lunchbox Lecture of the fall semester. The event will  be held in the Murphy-Payne Community room located in the M.P. Baker Library, and a light lunch will be served.

O'Neal is a former Panola College history professor and acclaimed author. He will speak on the attack that prompted the U.S. entry in to World War II.

To supplement the upcoming event, an exhibit on Pearl Harbor will be displayed in the Fay Cassity Allison Gallery from Nov. 28 – Dec. 7, 2011.

In conjunction with the recognition of veterans, the Panola College Chorale performed with Project String Power on Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11.
