Get a flu shot. Check your blood pressure. Give blood.

The Panola College Health Fair is underway and these and other health-related activities are offered to participants.

Dr. Karen McClellan, other faculty members and students in the Associate Degree Nursing Program plan and organize the Health Fair twice a year, once in the fall on the same day as Fall Frolic and in the spring on the same day as Spring Fling.

The event offers health-related services to college faculty, staff, administrators and students, and is also open as a community service.

In addition to Associate Degree Nursing, participants include Licensed Vocational Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant students and Health Information Technology students. Healthcare organizations from around the region offer services and information in booths.

Two blood mobiles are parked in front of the Phoebe Sue Perlman Student Center so that people can donate blood. If interested, take your driver's license or other photo identification.

Photos from the morning's Health Fair event are posted.
