The first Lunchbox Lecture of the semester focused on photography. Holly Bonner, owner of Holly Bonner Photography, provided the audience with insightful tips on trends and techniques. She showed examples of her work, includiing canvas-look portraits, and graduation photo sets. Winners of the "Summer in East Texas" photography contest were recognized including Mary Curry, first place; Karen McAlister, second place, and Ann Morris, third place. Photographers whose works were chosen for the exhibit were also recognized. They included Jean Bunyard, Kelsey Lake and Van Patterson. Teresa Beasley, communication instructor at Panola, announced that Patterson was the winner of the People's Choice ribbon for his photo "Home Safe."
