Enlarge Holly Bonner will speak at the Lunchbox Lecture. Holly Bonner will speak at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 24, at the M.P. Baker Library at Panola College. The Lunchbox Lecture is sponsored by the Library in conjunction with the “Summer in East Texas” photography contest. The exhibit has been on display during August, and photographers whose works were chosen for the exhibit will be recognized during the event. The public is invited, and a complimentary light lunch will be served. Ribbons will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners, and the people’s choice special award will be announced. Bonner graduated from Carthage High School in 2002 and is a Panola College alumnus. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in the summer of 2006, majoring in Photojournalism with an emphasis in photography and a minor in art. While still a student at SFA, she began her photography business, Holly Bonner Photography, which specializes in seniors, couples, brides and weddings. Her work can be seen on her website at www.hollybonnerphotography.com. The “Summer in East Texas” exhibit features first place winner Mary Curry, second place winner Karen McAlister, and third place winner Ann Morris, along with photographs submitted by Kelsey Lake, Jean Bunyard and Van Patterson. Judges for the contest were Heather Krull and Bud Worley of Studio 23, and Steve Williams of Panola College. |
