Enlarge Scholarship available for summer. Interested in attending college this summer for free? The Workforce Solutions East Texas Workforce Board offers the "Earn, Learn, WIN Scholarship" for Summer 2010. The scholarship provides tuition and employment. To apply, students must meet the following criteria:
The scholarship provides tuition, employment for up to 10 weeks at 24 hours per week and an incentive for successful completion for a total amount of up to $3,000. Interested individuals should complete the scholarship application and return it with an official high school grade report or college transcript, a typed letter explaining why the applicant believes he or she will benefit from the scholarship and a list of college courses he or she is interested in taking and why, and a letter of recommendation from a present or past teacher, coach, counselor, administrator or employer. Mail the completed application to Workforce Solutions East Texas - Palestine, Attention: Brenda Williams, 500 East Murchison, Palestine, TX 75801.
