Roshunda Wilson sings

Sunday, the college was the host of an afternoon of music.

 

 

 

 

 

 

On Sunday, May 1, the Panola Concert and Jazz Bands, in conjunction with the Carthage High School Treble Choir, presented an afternoon concert in the Q.M Martin Auditorium.

 

The concert band performed a selection of seven songs including "The Carrollton March,"  "Appalachian Morning,"  "Someone to Watch Over Me,"  "A Longford Legend," and  "Gospel Set No. 1."  The jazz band also performed eight songs "Malaguena,"  "Basin Street Blues,"  "Sway,"  "Summertime,"  "Blue Bossa,"  "Blue 'N' Moody,"  "How Deep is the Ocean?" and "Sambeando."

Members of the band include:
Flutes: Mikequetta Miller, Katie Essery, Chelsea Allbritton and Hailey Shaw.

Clarinets: Caleshia Summers, Megan Morrison, Perla Sanchez, Kelli Gollmitzer and Britney Battles

Bass Clarinet: DeAnna Baker.

Alto Saxophones: Eley Buchanan, Christina White, Gary Dickert and Yazzman Mumphrey.

Tenor Saxophone: Miranda McGee and Breanna Morgan.

Baritone Saxophones: Chris Richardson and Miranda Cuff.

Trumpets: Quentin Evans, Skylar Williams, Karina Diaz and Meghan Swift.

Trombones: Rudy Johnson, Houston Davis, Joel Koonce and Alec Humphries.

Baritones: Antione Morrow, Britaria Roberson, Bianca Collier and Spencer Tutt.

Basses: Jeremy Gressman.

Percussion: DeeJay Whiting, Christian Cauthen, Kanen Smith, Dillon Staples and Wes Jones.

Guitar: Wes Jones.

Bass Guitar: Dillon Staples.
