Procedures:
Items that need to be placed on reserve should arrive in the Library one week prior to the time students will need them. Each item will need the course name and number, instructor’s name, semester taught, and number of students enrolled in the class before the reserve module can be activated in the Library’s automation system. The items will then be barcoded and placed on the reserve shelves behind the circulation desk under the instructor’s name.
At the end of each month or semester depending on the instructor’s preference, a usage report will be generated to show circulation activity. Any book or video not used during the course of two consecutive academic years will be removed from reserve and returned to the instructor. Photocopies will be automatically removed at the end of each semester unless the instructor obtains copyright permission.
